Homemade Bagel

  1. Mix 1.5 tsp yeast and 2 tbsp of sugar into 3/4 cup of warm water.
  2. Pull in 2.5 cups of flour and 3/4 tsp salt.
  3. Knead for 7 minutes-ish or until the dough is smooth.
  4. Grease the outside of dough and set for 1-2 hours or rise until double size.
  5. Divide dough to 4 and shape then to bagel shape.
  6. Let them rise for another 1 hour.
  7. Boil water then boil the dough 30 seconds each site.
  8. Put them on baking tray.
  9. Brush egg liquid on top and spread some sesame seeds (optional)
  10. Preheat oven to 400 degree and bake for 20 minutes.
